Therapuetic Massage (Back to Top)

Therapeutic massage involves the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress. It also helps promote health and wellness. Massage involves holding, causing movement of soft tissue, and/or applying pressure to the body. There are a variety of therapuetic massages that our spa offers:

Swedish Massage: This is a gentle form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping to help relax and energize.

Deep-tissue Therapy: This massage technique uses slower, more forceful strokes to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, commonly to help with muscle damage from injuries.

Trigger Point Therapy: This massage focuses on trigger points, or sensitive areas of tight muscle fibers that can form in your muscles after injuries or overuse.

Hot Stone Massage:  Uses smooth, heated stones. They are often basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. The heat is both deeply relaxing and helps tight muscles release.

Prenatal Massage: Has been shown to improve labor outcomes for both mother and child. It also helps a pregnant women to relax tense muscles and reduce stress and anxiety associated with labor and assists in relieving pain.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy: Lymphatic drainage is a holistic approach to promoting a healthy lymphatic system.  The lymphatic system is a complex network of vessels and ducts that move fluid throughout the body and is responsible for moving toxins away from healthy cells and carrying germ-fighting materials to cells when they are under attack by viruses.  Though fluid moves through the lymphatic system, it does not have its own pumping mechanism.  Lymphatic drainage is a type of therapy that is intended to help the body produce a free-flowing lymphatic system.

Lymphatic drainiage therapy consists of a manual massage which primarily focuses on specific lymph nodes and points of the body as well as the natural flow of the lymphatic system.

Salt Glows (Back to Top)

A salt glow is to exfoliate your skin which sloughs off dull and dry skin, revealing your fresh and renewed layer. When we are younger the skin replaces the dead tissue with fresh cells naturally, but as we age the process slows down and requires external methods to remove the dead skin cells. Some of the benefits include:removing the dead dull skin cells, leaving skin bright radiant and sheen, smooths wrinkles and rough skin, prevents pores from being clogged, allows skin to breath freely, drains out toxins, and increases blood circulation.

Body Wraps (Back to Top)

Body wraps are spa treatments designed to hydrate or firm the skin, relax and soothe the muscles, relieve tired and aching joints, ease inflammation, and help to flush out toxins. Mud treatments have been used as a skin detoxification treatment for hundreds of years, and continue to be one of the best body treatments for reviving sluggish skin and clearing out toxins. Some of the benefits include: relaxation, pain relief, improved skin tone, body slimming, detoxification, and hydrate tired skin.

Reflexology (Back to Top)

A natural healing art that focuses on the reflex points in the feet which correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes without the use of tools, creams, or lotions the feet being the primary area of application, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation and helps promote the natural function of the related areas of the body.
